Building Regulation approval is requied for the majority of structures in England and Wales. In Scotland a Building Warrant is needed and has to be carried out by a certified SER.

How we can help

Millard Consulting can help you obtain building regulation approval. We are partnered with the Local Authority Building Control (LABC) which allows us to discuss all applications with dedicated building control officers before the project is submitted formally.

This benefits our clients by removing any ambiguity within the design at an early stage and then allows a faster, more efficient approval to be gained. We also provide building regulation assistance for NHBC and other building warranty schemes.

Things to consider

Building regulation approval is only required once you are about to begin your construction. A completion certificate will be issued at the end of the building works, together with any warranty scheme certification.  If we are part of the design team, our design will include a building regulation submission package. If you wish us to act solely for you to obtain your approval, we will need detailed architectural drawings upon which to base our design. If needed we can make the application on your behalf.
