Introduction

In 2002, Millard Consulting began a five year phased design programme on the Eastbourne seafront. Developing 200 residential units, split between two and three storey townhouses and four and five storey apartments, the remit was for full structural and civil design.

Scope

Flood compendation measures were incorporated into the infrastructrue design to allow surface water to run off the site in flood conditions. To enable this, we designed a drainage and sewer system to include ring and trench soakaways.
