Our professional design and technical staff will assist in finding the most economical and environmentally sustainable solutions from conception through to completion.
The introduction of new guidelines regarding environmental issues can be challenging, but our expertise will help avoid the many possible obstacles and delays. For example, our BREEAM Assessors ensure that the proposals will successfully meet the standards and benchmarks required for sustainability.
Cafe Ritazza, Norwich
Cafe and lakeside dining area
Cafe Ritazza was originally provided to serve the Broadland Business Park as an amenity building.
A lake was designed to enhance the buildings location and provide valuable environmental habit. The café floor area was approx 165 square metres and had a decking area, for outside dining.
Millard Consulting provided civil and structural engineering for both the building and the lake. Millard was re-employed for further development works to the building, where the café floor area has been extended, by 33 square metres.
In addition to an enhanced cafe, for this popular development, the extension also provides offices and a meeting room for the park’s management company.
Introduction
This 250 acre development was formerly the manufacturing site for the world famous Ransomes grass cutting machinery.
Millard Consulting has been involved on the site since the mid-1990's advising Ransomes (now Textron) on all engineering aspects of the implementation and master planning of the site.
Scope
Our responsibility extended to the offsite highway improvements for both the Europark and the adjacent residential Ravenswood development. This included major road widening improvement which incorporated two new roundabout junctions. We also designed bus priority measures for a new Super Route bus provision for both the residential and business park development.
Perthshire Visitor Centre
Over 250,000 visitors pass through the busy Perthshire Visitor Centre annually.
Millard Consulting provided structral engineering advice and design for a 185 square metre extension to the restaurant, kitchen, stores and external dining areas; with a sliding roof, and a new timber framed glazed entrance. The structure comprised steel and timber framed structures, with open ceilings and a feature glazed cupola.
