Project management covers many different aspects, which encompasses primarily contract documentation and associated issues with supervision of those projects and safety coordination. To secure a successful project during the construction, preparation of comprehensive documents for tender and contract management are imperative. In addition, further continued supervision of the project and reporting will provide the right product each and every time.

Throughout all projects one of the first key considerations are the risks and associated safety issues for the project. Whether the site is an access for one dwelling or a large commercial or residential development, safety comes first. As part of the construction process even in the early pre-planning stages all staff are trained to identify hazards and evaluate the risks of future development. Through a rigorous recording mechanism the findings of all risks can be reviewed and where necessary designed out or reduced in impact. To manage the process further and to comply with current legislation our fully trained CDM Coordinators and designers can:

advise on the CDM duties
provide design information to assist others to comply with their CDM duties
give specialist guidance on obligations for notifiable projects
notify the HSE of projects
facilitate coordination of health and safety measures by those involved in the project and
prepare, collate and distribute health and safety information including the health and safety file.

Martin has extensive experience in the design and management of all types of infrastructure. Martin leads the Norwich infrastructure team on all major developments and co-ordinates inputs from other areas of the Group.

Highlights have included securing residential developments of various sizes; ranging from two to 1300 dwellings, as well as the design of business parks and commercial centres from 4ha to 102ha. His personal drivers to success have always been leadership, delivery and focus; which he instils; whilst leading the infrastructure team.

Norwich International Airport Business Park

Norwich International Airport Business Park is located adjacent to Norwich Airport. Bounded by the Airport complex, existing business estates and the A140 road to north Norfolk, the site sits neatly in 5 Ha (11 acres) of prime commercial land.

Millard Consulting provided the client, Kingchem Ltd., with a comprehensive service of project management, infrastructure design skills and CDM advice to deliver one of Norwich’s primary business locations. From conception and planning advice, through design, contract documentation and the tendering process, to the site supervision and completion of the key infrastructure our project management skills supported the delivery of the site, well within the high requirement expectations.
